a historical anthropological term describing a group of people, mainly from North Africa, Europe, and South Asia. In the English-speaking tradition, it is known as the Caucasian race, named by German anthropologist Johann Blumenbach, who considered the Caucasus to be the place of origin of white people.

The type of people such as Caucasian, Mongoloid, and Negroid, divided based on their physical characteristics including complexion, hair color, frame, etc.

This is an outdated anthropological term used to describe the indigenous population of Africa (south of the Sahara) and some peoples of Asia. Modern science, particularly genetics, has refuted the biological basis for such a division, recognizing the concept of race as inaccurate and outdated. The terms dark-skinned and black-skinned are used instead.
