The river that starts from the Taebaeksanmaek Mountains and flows through Korea's central region and into the Yellow Sea, whose two tributaries, the Namhangang River and Bukhangang River, meet in Gyeonggi-do, or Gyeonggi Province, and which has the largest water volume among the rivers in South Korea.
