Gangwon-do Province

A province of South Korea. It is a mountainous area located in the central part of the Korean Peninsula, facing the East Sea to the east, and is rich in potatoes, corn, squid, pollack, etc. Its major cities are Pyeongchang, Chuncheon, Gangneung, etc. It was promoted to 'Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province' in 2023.

Gangwon-do Province

A province of North Korea, located in the central eastern area of the Korean Peninsula, where many mountains including Geumgangsan Mountain are located; it faces Gangwon-do, or Gangwon Province, of South Korea across the demarcation line; a major producer of corn, wheat, barley, beans, potatoes, etc.; its major cities are Wonsan and Muncheon.
