黽

Etymology
The character is a pictograph, modeled after the appearance of a squat frog-like creature.
Over time, the character was also borrowed phonetically (假借, gacha) and came to be associated with other pronunciations and meanings, for example “min” sound: As in 黽勉 (민면), meaning to strive or exert effort.
